"Who can walk?"
Boy Scouts, 4th grade
Indiana history students, teachers, hikers, attorneys, doctors, bankers, factory
workers, housewives, husbands, brothers, sisters...get the picture anyone that
wants to have a good time, get fit, and see their homeland in a different way.
Children will only be allowed to walk on designated 'safe routes'.
"Must I walk the entire route to be a participant?"
No, you can walk any portion of the route in your
county or any other county. Start times for each day will be posted as well as
approximate arrival times along the scheduled routes. You may join in at any of
the scheduled start times.
"Do I have to register every day I walk?"
No, a one time registration fee is required and paid
to the county you wish to support. At the time of registration you chose what
days you would like to walk. Only one T-shirt per registration.
"Do I have to walk to receive a T-shirt?"
No, T-shirts may be purchased at the price of
$30.00. Although, you'd feel a whole lot better if you walked a spell!
"What if I don't have time to walk, can I just make a
donation?"
Well of course you can, this is a fund raiser.
Sponsor a walker or two, just contact your county chair for more information.
For a donation of $30.00 or more you'll receive a Whitewater - Miami Walk
T-shirt.
"Do I have to be a resident of the Whitewater Valley
to participate?"
No, anyone that wants to enjoy the scenic beauty of
the Whitewater Valley may join in the fun.
"Should I pack snacks and lunch?"
Snacks and drinks will be provided along the route.
Lunch will not be provided so pack a sack if your walk participation is an all
day thing.
